Abstract

In essence, economic development is a series of efforts and policies that aim to improve people’s life quality. It can be achieved by expanding employment, equalizing income distribution, improving regional economic relationship, and shifting economic activities from primary to secondary and tertiary sectors. In other words, the direction of economic development is to improve people’s income accompanied by income equality. To measure level and growth of an economy, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) statistics needs to be presented regularly and served as national or regional development planning materials, especially for the economic field. The statistics are also used in evaluation of economic development results undertaken by various parties such as the central government, local government, and private.Development in all sectors which reaches all across nation requires Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) data that are suitable with the government administrative boundaries for development planning especially in economic fields as well as the evaluation of the results.
