Abstract

The era of democratization in Indonesia was marked by political reform movement in 1998. The change of power from the New Order to the reform era are an entrance for various reforms to the more democratic political system. This happen through four amendments to the 1945 Constitution in the 1999–2002 period which changed Indonesia to enter democratization era. The number of political parties that previously limited, is now open to every citizen. In the 2019 election, women's representation in the Indonesia People Representative (DPR RI) reached 20.87 percent, which is the highest percentage in the elections history. Beside that, Indonesia Democracy relatively stable which can maintain in moderate category (60-80) during 2009 – 2021.
