Abstract

The Micro and Small Manufacturing Industry (MSMI) is one of the processing industry sector groups affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Several MSMI had to close their businesses, stop producing for a while or change their products. MSMI production growth between years (y-on-y) in 2020, from the first quarter to the fourth quarter, consistently contracted. The lowest MSMI production growth rate was in the second quarter of 2020, which was -21.31 percent. That was recorded as the lowest MSMI production growth rate (y-on-y) since the MSMI Quarterly Survey was conducted in 2011. Meanwhile, MSMI production growth q to q contracted in the first and second quarters of 2020 but managed to grow positively in the third and fourth quarters of 2020.
