A Portrait of the 2020 Population Census towards One Indonesian Population Data

A Portrait of the 2020 Population Census towards One Indonesian Population Data depicts the journey of the current 2020 Population Census amidst the challenging Covid-19 pandemic. For the first time since the population census had been carried out, the 2020 Population Census used newly combined method utilizing the administrative data from the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration of the Ministry of Home Affairs as a database for this census data collection. This method has been constructed and implemented as an attempt to manifest the One Indonesian Population Data.This booklet provides the general overview of Indonesia’s population to the level of province as an outcome from both the Online Population Census and the September Population Census. The coverage of the basic population data from the census itself consists of number of population by sex and administrative area, and its parameters such as population density, sex ratio and population growth. Those statistics and parameters are expected to meet the need of population data for the planning, monitoring, evaluation, and many various population research references.
