Abstract

Early childhood is the golden phase of a child's development where the capacity of the brain develops optimally in the intellectual, emotional and social dimensions of children. Quality early childhood development is widely recognized as the most important major investment in human development in Indonesia. Informing a quality gold generation, an accurate, comprehensive and reliable data map is needed as a basis for stakeholders in determining the direction of the next development steps. Departing from this phenomenon, BPS is trying to accommodate the need for early childhood data by making it happen in the form of the 2020 Early Childhood Profile Publication.This book is the first publication that contains information about early childhood through various aspects according to the cluster of child rights protection, such as : civil rights and freedoms; family environment and alternative care; basic health and welfare; education, use of leisure time and cultural activities, and special protection. The data used in this publication comes from data from the 2020 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas), Susenas for the Socio-Cultural and Education Module (MSBP) in 2018, and secondary data from Ministries / Institutions for the rest.
