Abstract

One of the main goals of livestock subsector development is improving livestock population and its products. Livestock product such as meat, eggs, and milk is used to meet domestic demand in order to achieve animal protein consumption per capita. In addition, livestock population data and production data can also be used to measure the success of self-sufficiency in meat and other programs run by the government. Data collection in RPH/TPH quarterly is one of effort to getting meat production for consumption. Besides meat data, livestock production data is also collected in the form of innards, wet skin, and other production such as head, feet and tail. This production data is used as the based for calculating the National Income of livestock subsector. Furthermore, the data collection in RPH/TPH were obtain the parameters of livestock slaughtered as one of the based to make projections of livestock populations and so on.
