Abstract


In November 2019 the value of imports reached USD15,340.5 million, up 3.94 percent (USD581.4 million) compared to the previous month. Likewise the volume rose 19.24 percent to 16,222.9 thousand tons. The November 2019 import value consisted of oil and gas imports of USD 2,134.4 million (13.91 percent) and non-oil and gas USD13,206.1 million (86.09 percent).
The total of import value from January to November 2019, the main country of origin is occupied by China at USD40,792.3 million (26.11 percent), followed by Singapore at USD15,779.6 million (10.10 percent), and Japan at USD14,534.6 million (9.30 percent). Viewed from the category of economic goods usage, imports were still dominated by raw / auxiliary materials at USD115,499.2 million (73.93 percent), followed by capital goods at USD25,960.2 million (16.62 percent), and consumer goods at USD14,761 2 million (9.45 percent).
According to the 1 digit SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) goods category, the main group of imported goods is the machinery and transportation equipment group with a value of USD50,879.8 million (32.57 percent). During January-November 2019 the port in DKI Jakarta was still a place for loading and unloading of the main imported goods in Indonesia with a portion of 51.98 percent (USD81,204.9 million).
