Manufacturing Industrial Indicator, 2017

BPS-Statistics Indonesia is a non-ministerial agency which is authorized presents statistical data for development planning in accordance with Law No 16 of 1997 on statistics. One clause in this law states that the BPS-Statistics Indonesia as a provider of basic statistical data which are fully organized by the BPS, while the sectoral statistics conducted by Government agencies on their own or with the BPS, as well as specific statistics held by institution, organizations, individuals, and other elements of society are independently or in conjunction with the BPS. Therefore, BPS-Statistics Indonesia has a very important role as a government agency that provides data requirements for the government as the manufacture of all sectors of development planning associated with the policy direction that will be made and the needs of the community, helping in the statistical activities of ministries, government agencies or other institutions, in building statistical national system, develop and promote technical standards and statistical methodology, and provides services education and training in statistics, establish cooperation with international institutions and other countries for statistical development of Indonesia. One form of the indicator information presented in the form of the data of Large and Medium which are presented in the form of time-series from 2013 until 2017. The information presented on the development of the number of establishments, total employment, value added, value of raw material usage, production value, efficiency, labor productivity, the percentage of exports, the composition of input costs and the composition of output values ​​which are presented according to KBLI 2015. Besides the information concerning the structure of production costs in the manufacturing sector is also equipped with a more comprehensive descriptive account of the development of large and medium scale manufacturing industries in Indonesia. Description of the industry indicators are divided into three parts. The first section describes the development of the industrial enterprises of large and medium-scale manufacturing in general. In the second part described other characteristics such as total employment and value added. And the last part describes the development of the efficiency of large and medium industrial establishments, the use of imported raw materials, production for export and production capacity are presented based on two-digit KBLI 2015 (Standard Industrial Classification Indonesia) during the last five years, as well as concentration ratio CR2, CR4 and CR8.
