Abstract

Ginger was a rhizome medicinal plant that had the highest harvest area in 2018, amounting to 10,205.03 hectares. The second sequence was turmeric with harvested area of 7,481.40 hectares, and the third is galanga with harvested area of 2,215.80 hectares. In 2018, almost all of rhizome medicinal plants had a increase of harvested area, only ginger plants and dringo plants have decreased. Plants that experienced the largest increase in harvested area were Turmeric, which increased by 984.66 hectares. Ginger plants experienced the largest decline in harvested area, down by 350.98 hectares when compared to the harvested area in 2017.In non rhizome medicinal plant, Java Cardamom, Indian Mulberry, and King of Bitter plants experienced a decrease in harvest area. While the Phaleria Macrocarpa, Verbenaceae, and Aloevera plants experienced an increase in harvested area. The largest increase in harvested area occurred for the Phaleria Macrocarpa plant (6.20 hectares), and the largest decrease was java cardamom plants (857.99 hectares).
