Trade flow of chicken meat commodity in Indonesia 2018

Abstract
The distribution pattern of broiler meat trading illustrates the distribution chain of broiler meat from producers to end consumers involving trading distribution businessmen. The more businessmen involved in number, the longer distribution chain may potentially be, which will prolong commodities to reach end consumers and lead to increasing price.This publication analyzes domestic trading distribution in broiler meat comodity in 34 provinces in Indonesia consist of 232 districs/cities. Using survey method producers and traders samples, obtaining the information of broiler meat commodity distribution in national and province level. The result shows that the distribution of broiler meat from producers to end consumers involving 2 to 4 trading distribution businessmen. Main pattern of broiler meat distribution trading in Indonesia is Produsen → Retailer → End Consumers with trading and transportation margin 24,68 percent.
