Abstract


In 2017, most of cut flowers production increased. Cut flowers had the highest increase was chrysantemum at 47.58 million stalks (10.99 percent) and followed by gerbera, rose, flamingo lily flower, heliconia, and orchid. Production decrease was tuberose and carnation by 4.10 percent and 7.80.

Most of potted plants had production decrease in 2017. The highest decrease was suffered by philodendron at 6.44 million trees (38.32 percent), followed by dracaena with 2.31 million trees (49.22 percent) of decrease, and leather leaf fern which decreased by 1.12 million trees (10.79 percent). Increased production of potted plants as follows, anthurium increased by 616.06 thousand trees (78.60 percent), ixora increased by 487.86 thousand trees (89.87 percent), and sanseviera increased by 382.39 thousand clumps (47.23 percent). For other ornamental plants, jasmine and palm production fell by 6.67 thousand tons (21.39 percent) and 68.86 thousand trees (7.01 percent).

Mostly ornamental plants exports were chrysantemum, rose, and orchid. In 2017, volume of chrysantemum exports decreased from 60.65 tons to 49.52 tons and the FOB value decreased from 905,724 US$ to 699,176 US$. The importer country of chrysantemum from Indonesia was Japan and Kuwait.
