Statistics of Indonesian Youth 2017

Youth is the main pioneer of the struggle, reform, and development process of a nation. All of youth abilities become the determinants of the nation quality in the future. Realizing that youth’s role and function are that important, Indonesian government tries to develop the abilities through youth awareness, empowerment, and development in all aspects, as part of national development. To achieve these development goals, an accurate and up-to-date information about youth is needed to support the planning, objectives, policy making, and development evaluation. Statistics of Indonesian Youth 2017purpose is providing in regard to youth data and information, with the review of Indonesian youth condition in particular, based on National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) Kor 2017 results. Meanwhile, the information related to employment comes from National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) August 2017. This publication is annually published and presenting a brief overview of Indonesian youth including demographic, education, health, employment, fertility and family planning, socioeconomic, and Indonesian youth governmental programs.
