Abstract

  • Indonesia’s economy in 2024, as measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current market prices, reached IDR22,139.0 trillion, and GDP per capita reached IDR78.6 million or USD4,960.3.
  • Indonesia’s economy grew by 5.03 percent in 2024, slowing from 5.05 percent growth in 2023 (c-to-c). The highest growth on the production side was Other Services Activities at 9.80 percent. Meanwhile on the expenditure side, Non-Profit Institutions Serving Households Final Consumption Expenditure (NPISHs FCE) component experienced the highest growth at 12.48 percent.
  • Indonesia’s economic growth increased by 5.02 percent (y-on-y) in the fourth quarter of 2024, compared to the fourth quarter of 2023. The highest growth on the production side was Other Services Activities  at 11.36 percent. Meanwhile on the expenditure side, Exports of Goods and Services component experienced the highest growth at 7.63 percent.
  • Indonesia’s economy in the fourth quarter of 2024 grew by 0.53 percent (q-to-q), compared to the previous quarter. On the production side, Public Administration and Defence, Compulsory Social Security experienced the highest growth at 16.63 percent. Meanwhile on the expenditure side, General Government Final Consumption Expenditure (GGFCE) component recorded the highest growth, increased by 38.58 percent.
  • During 2024 the group of provinces in Jawa Island highlighted the structure and performance of Indonesia’s economy spatially with a contribution of 57.02 percent and economic performance that recorded growth of 4.92 percent (c-to-c).
