Abstract

  • The Indonesia Anti-Corruption Behavior Index (ACBI) 2023 is 3.92 on a scale of 0 (zero) to 5 (five). It is lower than the 2022 (3.93).
  • A value closer to five on the index indicates higher anti-corruption behavior, while a value closer to zero indicates that citizens behave more permissively towards corruption.
  • The Indonesia Anti-Corruption Behavior Index (ACBI) is structured on two dimensions, namely the Perception Dimension and the Experience Dimension. The Perception Index has increased (0.02 points) to 3.82 in 2023 from 3.80 in 2022. Instead, the Experience Index 2023 has experienced a decrease of 0.03 points to 3.96 this year from 3.99 last year.
  • By 2023, the ACBI of urban communities is higher (3.93) than rural communities (3.90).
  • The higher their education level is, the more people tend to be against corruption. In 2023, the ACBI score is 3.88 for people with education below high school level, 3.93 among the high school graduates, and 4.02 among those who have studied above the high school level.
  • People aged 40 and below are slightly more anti-corruption. The ACBI score is 3.92 for people aged under 40, while for people aged 40–59 and people aged 60 or older is 3.91.
