Abstract

  • In December 2022, Indonesia's National Wholesale Price Index rose by 5.78 percent compared to December 2021 (year-on-year/y-on-y). The most significant change in the index is the Mining and Quarrying Sector, which increased by 10.90 percent.
  • The price change in December 2022 was contributed mainly by purebred chicken eggs, soya beans, mined salt, petrol/gasoline, diesel fuel, filtered cigarettes with clove, rice, and wheat flours.
  • The WPI change in December 2022 changed by 0.76 percent month-tomonth (m-to-m) and 5.78 percent compared to December 2021 (year-todate/ y-to-d).
  • The WPI Construction Materials in December 2022 rose by 6.87 percent year-on-year, partly due to the increasing prices of diesel fuel, cement, asphalt, sands, and stone for construction foundation.
