Abstract

  • In September 2022, Indonesia's National Wholesale Price Index (WPI) rose by 0.86 percent. The highest change of index is in the Mining and Quarrying Sector, which increased by 2.22 percent.
  • The price change in September 2022 was contributed mainly by oil palms; tobacco and manufactured tobacco substitutes; purebred chicken eggs; sands; petrol/gasoline; diesel fuel; rice; filtered cigarettes with clove; and wheat flour.
  • The WPI changed by 4.75 percent in the 2022 calendar year and 6.04 percent year-on-year.
  • The WPI of Construction Materials in September 2022 rose by 1.27 percent compared to the previous month, partly due to the increase in prices of diesel fuel, sands, stone for construction foundation, cement, and aggregate.
