A. Tourism Progress

• In June 2022, the number of international visitor arrivals to Indonesia at the main entry gates was 345.44 thousand, dramatically increasing by 1,973.96 percent compared to June 2021. At the same time, international visitor arrivals in June 2022 increased by 62.69 percent compared to the previous month.
• From January to June 2022, the number of international visitor arrivals to Indonesia at the main entry gates was 743.21 thousand, increased by 929.66 percent over the same period in 2021.
• The room occupancy rate of classified hotels in June 2022 was 50.28 percent,increased by 11.73 percentage points from June 2021. Similarly, the room occupancy rate in June 2022 slightly increased by 0.43 percentage points compared to May 2022. Meanwhile, the room occupancy rate of non-classified hotels in June 2022 was 23.92 percent, which increased 3.80 percentage points from June 2021 but decreased a 0.83 percentage points from May 2022.
• The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at classified hotels during June 2022 was 1.61 days, which decreased slightly by 0.07 percentage points from the average length of stay in June 2021. While the average length of stay in June 2022 has increased by 0.03 percentage points compared to May 2022.

B. Growth of National Transport

• The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in June 2022 was 4.9 million and decreased by 7.80 percent compared to May 2022. The number of international air transport passengers increased by 23.28 percent to 583.0 thousand. From January to June 2022, the number of domestic air transport passengers was 24.6 million and increased by 57.59 percent. The number of international air transport passengers was 1.7 million and increased by 540.90 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
• The number of domestic sea transport passengers departing in June 2022 was recorded at 1.6 million, decreasing by 7.38 percent compared to May 2022. The freight transported by domestic sea transport increased by 6.89 percent to 26.7 million tons. From January to June 2022, the number of domestic sea transport passengers reached 8.5 million and increased by 9.55 percent compared to the same period in 2021. Meanwhile, the amount of freight increased by 0.32 percent, reaching 156.3 million tons.
• The number of railway passengers departing in June 2022 was 23.5 million people, which increased by 0.29 percent compared to May 2022. Whereas, freight transported by train increased 8.04 percent to 5.2 million tons. The number of passengers reached 116.8 million in January–June 2022 and increased by 42.49 percent compared to the same period in 2021. On the other hand, the cumulative amount of freight transported by train rose by 14.79 percent to 28.6 million tons.
