Abstract

The number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia in October 2021 reached 151.03 thousand visits. Meanwhile, the ROR for star classification hotels reached 45.62 percent.

  • The number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in October 2021 reached 151.03 thousand visits, a decrease of 0.83 percent compared to the number of visits in October 2020. However, when compared to September 2021, the number of foreign tourist visits in October 2021 has increased. by 21.73 percent.
  • From January to October 2021, the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 1.33 million visits, a decrease of 64.37 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visiting in the same period in 2020.
  • Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star classification hotels in Indonesia in October 2021 reached 45.62 percent, an increase of 8.14 points compared to the TPK in October 2020. The TPK in October 2021 also experienced a fairly high increase of 8.98 points compared to September 2021 TPK.
  • The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star-class hotels during October 2021 was recorded at 1.64 days, an increase of 0.02 points compared to the average length of stay in October 2020.

The number of domestic air transport passengers in October 2021 rose 48.45 percent.

  • The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in October 2021 was 2.9 million people, an increase of 48.45 percent compared to September 2021. The number of passengers destined for overseas (international) rose 8.96 percent to 52.3 thousand people. During January-October 2021, the number of domestic passengers was 22.6 million people or decreased by 12.38 percent, and the number of international passengers was 456.9 thousand people, or down 87.14 percent compared to the same period in 2020.
  • The number of domestic sea transport passengers departing in October 2021 was 1.2 million people, an increase of 7.81 percent compared to September 2021. The number of goods transported rose 4.02 percent to 27.0 million tons. During January–October 2021, the number of passengers reached 12.3 million people, an increase of 5.30 percent compared to the same period in 2020, while the number of goods transported rose 5.14 percent or reached 260.8 million tons.
  • The number of train passengers departing in October 2021 is 13.3 million people, an increase of 38.51 percent compared to September 2021. Similar to the number of passengers, the number of goods transported by trains has increased by 7.68 percent to 5.2 million tons. During January–October 2021, the number of passengers reached 117.0 million people, a decrease of 26.35 percent compared to the same period in 2020. It was different for the number of goods transported by train, the number rose 11.39 percent to 44.3 million tons.
