Abstract

  • The composite Producer Price Index (PPI) of three sectors (Agriculture, Mining and Quarrying, and Processing Industries) in the second quarter of 2021 rose 1.57 percent against the first quarter of 2021 (q-to-q) and rose 6.18 percent against quarter II-2020 (y-on-y).
  • The Agricultural Sector PPI for the second quarter of 2021 rose 1.04 percent against the first quarter of 2021 (q-to-q) and increased by 4.03 percent against the second quarter of 2020 (y-on-y).
  • Mining and Quarrying Sector PPI in quarter II-2021 rose 7.13 percent compared to quarter I-2021 (q-to-q) and rose 38.55 percent against quarter II-2020 (y-on-y).
  • The Manufacturing Industry Sector PPI in the second quarter of 2021 rose 0.90 percent against the first quarter of 2021 (q-to-q) and rose 3.05 percent against the second quarter of 2020 (y-on-y).
  • The PPI for the Electricity and Gas Procurement Sector in the second quarter of 2021 increased by 0.05 percent compared to the first quarter of 2021 (q-to-q) and 0.12 percent in the second quarter of 2020 (y-on-y).
  • The PPI for the Water Management Sector in the second quarter of 2021 rose 0.01 percent compared to the first quarter of 2021 (q-to-q) and increased by 0.85 percent against the second quarter of 2020 (y-on-y).
  • The PPI for the Passenger Transport Sector in the second quarter of 2021 rose by 1.36 percent against the first quarter of 2021 (q-to-q) and 3.11 percent in the second quarter of 2020 (y-on-y).
  • The PPI for the Accommodation and Food and Beverage Provision Sector in the second quarter of 2021 rose 0.12 percent against the first quarter of 2021 (q-to-q) and rose 0.65 percent against the second quarter of 2020 (y-on-y).
  • The PPI for the Education Services Sector in the second quarter of 2021 rose 0.46 percent against the first quarter of 2021 (q-to-q), while it rose 1.28 percent in the second quarter of 2020 (y-on-y).
  • Health Services Sector PPI in the second quarter of 2021 rose 0.41 percent against the first quarter of 2021 (q-to-q) and rose 1.80 percent against the second quarter of 2020 (y-on-y).
