Abstract

  • Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The National NTP for January 2021 was 103.26, an increase of 0.01 percent compared to the NTP in the previous month. The increase in NTP was due to the Price Index Accepted by Farmers (It) which increased by 0.45 percent, which was higher than the increase in the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) of 0.44 percent.
  • In January 2021, the NTP of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province experienced the highest increase (2.42 percent) compared to the increase in NTP of other provinces. On the other hand, Sumatra Selatan Province NTP experienced the largest decrease (1.79 percent) compared to the decrease in NTP of other provinces.
  • In January 2021, there was a change in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Indonesia by 0.44 percent due to the increase in the index for all groups making up the IKRT, especially the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Group.
  • The National Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for January 2021 was 104.01, an increase of 0.01 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month.
