November 19, 2024 | Other Activities

Jakarta – With a resounding chant of "BPS, Mencatat Indonesia!" (collecting data on Indonesia) and fists raised in unity, participants at the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) for the Presentation of BPS's 2025 Work Plan displayed their enthusiasm and commitment. The event, held at the Auditorium of the BPS’ Polytechnics of Statistics on November 8, brought together senior officials from BPS, including high-ranking leaders, provincial heads, and regional heads from across Indonesia.
This meeting followed the Coordination Meeting for Central and Regional Government Governance held by the Ministry of Home Affairs the day before.
Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, Acting Chief Statistician of BPS, emphasized the agency's readiness to support Indonesia’s vision for the next five years, as encapsulated in the eight missions of "Asta Cita." "BPS’s role is to capture data accurately and with quality," she affirmed. "Let’s record Indonesia—carefully, objectively, and with precision."
Amalia also reiterated a crucial point from the Sentul Rakornas, where the government stressed the importance of a single reference for data. "BPS will serve as the sole reference for data, ensuring consistency and eliminating discrepancies between data from different ministries and agencies," she clarified.
The meeting featured presentations and discussions on BPS's work plan for 2025, led by senior officials from various departments, who shared insights into the agency's strategic direction and initiatives for the coming year.
